Courses: NCTJ Magazine journalism
Chris enrolled two years ago. He was working for HMV records and wanted to changed careers to become a magazine journalist. He applied himself to the course with great enthusiasm, passed his NCTJ exams, learned all the relevant desktop publishing skills, and this year secured a job on the leading consumer magazine What Laptop.
Chris is proof of the fact that career changes can be done through distance learning, alongside a full-time job … and that it is possible to get a top job in a highly competitive industry, beating off candidates from colleges and universities.
